Humberside And Lincolnshire Orienteers is club covering roughly Eastern Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire with events held as far apart as Driffield and Market Rasen. We are affiliated to the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association (YHOA) and to British Orienteering.
The objectives of the club are to further the development of, and participation in the sport of Orienteering in the area of Humberside and Northern Lincolnshire.
We are particularly keen on the development aspect and always welcome new members of all ages and levels of experience. Over half of the 21 events we arranged in 2009 were specifically aimed at newcomers or had newcomers' or introductory courses. We now have seven qualified coaches in the club, and have a regular 'North Bank' club night at Longcroft School, Beverley each Monday.
As well as development, HALO members compete in National and foreign events with some excellent results.
